The inspiration behind my piece was my mom. I wanted to draw her because last year I drew my nephew. I drew my mom outside because the likes to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air on nice days. The leaves are green and should symbolize calmness. Green is also her favorite color.
The first thing I did was sketch out my mom's face and the leaves. I then began shading her face and hair. After that, I drew in the strands of her hair and the hearts. Next, I colored the leaves with a green colored pencil. Finally, I drew in the rails of the porch.

I created this piece because I like chess. I am not very good at it but it is fun to play. When I was younger I thought it would be cool to be a chess master and be in tournaments. Now I just like playing easy chess computer games. I also like how the Queen piece is the strongest piece on the board.
I created my piece by first making four sketches. I then sketched out my final piece on some paper. After that, I used the ink to outline one side of the chess pieces. Finally, I filled in more of my chess piece with ink and added shadows.

I choose to create a tree because I think trees are interesting. Plants like trees give us oxygen to breathe. They also give shade on hot days. Trees are really beautiful and make the world more beautiful. They also are homes to really cute animals like squirrels.
I created my piece by first figuring out how big I wanted my tree to be. I then had to figure out where I wanted to start. Next, I looked at some videos on how to get the tree leaves textures. After that, I drew the trunk. Then I colored the background. Finally, I colored the grass.

I created my piece because I like animals. I also like when animals that are on farms are well taken care of. Sometimes when my family is driving to a certain place we see a farm with animals on it and that is always exciting. I also think that sheep are really cute and they look really soft.
I created by piece by first mapping out where everything would go. I then put masking fluid on everything I wanted to stay white. After that, I did a wash of the sky and ground. Then I painted the sheep, barn, and trees. Finally, I painted the wood fence and tried to add as many details as I could.

My inspiration for this piece was that I like dolls. I like the way glass dolls look and always thought that some of them look realistic. When I saw that there was a phobia of dolls I thought that would be cool to make a scary doll. It also made me think that the phobia of dolls could have been caused by the Chucky movie.
I created my piece by first sketching it out on the canvas board. I then painted the background a dark yellowish green. Next, I painted the faces of the doll and child. Finally, I moved on to the clothes and added in the details.

My inspiration for this piece was spring. With the temperature being cold I'm starting to miss warm weather. I also like the flowers that bloom in the spring. Right now there are no flowers so I put a flower on the box.
The first thing I did was sketch out what I was going to do. Then I cut out two ten inch pieces of clay from my slab. Next, I made the clay pieces into a circle. After that, I cut out two circles for the lid and started fitting it to the base of my box. Finally, I made the flower and vine for my box.

My inspiration for my piece was women and strength. In the past women had no rights and in other places, women were treated very harshly. Women faced danger in many countries and were just objects. Some women still stayed strong through all of that. I also like Japanese culture.
I created my piece by first making four sketches. I then sketched out what I would draw on my final paper. Next, I filled in the hair with dark colors. Finally, I shaded in everything.

My inspiration for this piece is my experience in art class. When I draw I like to listen to music. I play a song that fit the theme of what I am drawing. I find it helps me stay inspired. I also like to sit by myself when I'm drawing and just get in my artist "zone".
I first sketched out what I was seeing. Next, I began shading in where I saw there were shadows. After that, I drew the earbuds on the sketchbook. Finally, I added in final details.

My inspiration for this piece was hats. I think some hats are cool. I also once read a manga about a hat maker and it was really good. I There was also an image I once saw where the person had on all black, their face was white and the background was a sunset gradient color. I thought it was unique and pretty.
I created my piece by first sketching out the hat. I then started gluing in red paper for the background. After that, I found orange paper for the background. Next, I added in yellow paper to the bottom left of the background. Finally, I used darker blue pieces for the actual hat.
